Somersham U11 vs Priory Parkside U11 29th Nov 09
We travelled to The Milleniuum park on Sunday morning 29th Nov for kick off at Midday although didn't start until 12.30pm. - Thanks to the Law family unlike last week most of us got lost (for a few mins)....
Again only had 1 reserve as Owen, Adam and Ben were all missing.
Playing one of the leagues bottom teams we all expected to do well, but Somersham had other ideas and took the lead after 15 mins with a through ball that had us in trouble.
Then with 5 mins to go in the first half we replied with the same type of goal by Ollie.
The boys then started the second half with 2 more very quick goals by Ollie and it was all looking good.
The last 20 mins I think we should put down to a bad day at the office - with Somersham scoring 2 goals by the same manner as their 1st straight through the middle.
Final score 3 -3 with Somersham putting in a battling performance..
If only we had taken some of our chances and the lino had been a bit more on the ball we may have finished the game off, but hey thats football.
Man of the match for Priory - Jon Ryan-Gill (and well deserved for a faultless performance and giving 100%)
Bye for now and see you next sunday...against Eaton Socon....
