Do you know St Neots of business rate relief is available to certain businesses in retail?

This scheme has been in place for a while now and to date Huntingdonshire District council have granted relief to 400 properties district wide, relating in total to relief of £325k. They estimate there are at least another 200 businesses that might qualify for the relief and haven’t yet applied.

The key points are:

The relief is worth up to £1000.00 per year for 2014/15 & 2015/16
Rateable Value must be less than £50,000
Property must be used for retail purposes
It is not on the “excluded list” on the guidance notes
State Aid limits apply
