Garden Of Delights!!
St Neots in Bloom is delighted to announce that Cathy Reeves of Eaton Socon is the winner of its 2013 Best Front Garden competition. Cathy is a very keen gardener and her tiny front garden is a lively mixture of annuals and perennials, all lovingly maintained. The competition was judged on 19th July when gardeners everywhere were struggling to keep their plants going during the heat wave.
Receiving her £50 worth of gardening vouchers, sponsored by T. L. Cobbold, Cathy said ,
"I am delighted to win first prize, it has made my day!"
Second prize (£30 gardener vouchers) went to Martin Cox and third prize (£20 garden vouchers) to Joan Edmunds, both of Eaton Socon. Certificates were also awarded to all entrants, sponsored by St Neots Town Council.
St Neots in Bloom spokesperson, Alison Pearson, said,
" We would like to thank all the entrants to this years competition. Our judges thoroughly enjoyed visiting all the gardens. We would also like to thank T. L. Cobbold for sponsoring the prizes and St Neots Town Council for printing the certificates."
St Neots in Bloom is now waiting for find out how the town got on in Anglia in Bloom this year. The results will be announced at a ceremony in St Albans on 10th September.
