“Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.”
Wedding Fayre to take place on 3rd October 2010
Wyboston Lakes situated midway between Cambridge and Bedford, will be hosting one of its stylish wedding fayres on Sunday 3rd October 2010. Professionally executed and highly popular, the fayres have proved to be a consistent success and a draw for brides and grooms across the region.
Taking place at The Willows at Wyboston Lakes, between 11.00 am and 4.00 pm, the wedding fayre is an ideal opportunity for couples to meet a varied range of local specialists and creative professionals who can help plan for the big day and turn childhood dreams into realities.
A woman’s wedding day is recognised as being one of the most important days of her life, with many dreaming of the dress and day from an early age. However, for a lot of excitable brides-to-be, when the big day is finally in the diary, a small sense of panic hits! After all, organising the biggest day of your life is no easy feat! No detail is too small, no decision too trivial, from deciding on the flavour, decoration and size of your cake to choosing the entertainment and flowers; it is safe to say all couples need a bit of guidance. Now in their fourth year, Wyboston Lakes’ wedding fayres have proved to be the perfect tonic for the ailments of pre-wedding jitters!
The fayre will showcase over 30 bridal suppliers including florists, cake makers, jewellers, photographers and dress makers. Located in The Willows Centre, which can also be hired as a wedding venue, the fayre will include a professionally choreographed catwalk fashion show by Olivia Grace Bridal of St Neots. Women in particular will be aware of the visual limitations of a lifeless wedding dress hanging in a boutique; the fashion show will give couples a valuable opportunity to experience how different designs look on live models. The fashion shows will take place at 12.00 noon and 2.00 pm.
As well as looking for inspiration, attendees will have the opportunity to taste canapés prepared by Wyboston Lakes’ award-winning chefs and sample cakes from the very best cake makers in the area.
The Willows, which is licensed to hold civil ceremonies, provides the complete wedding package catering for up to 200 guests. The 150 ground floor double bedrooms provide plenty of room for any guests wanting to stay and with the added extra of 220 free car parking spaces - you can park right outside the door! It is also the perfect venue for birthday and anniversary parties.
Doors will be open from 11.00 am until 4.00 pm. Admission is free and there is ample free parking.

I've lived in St Neots since I was 13, and boy how it's changed. I'm always looking to promote everything great in and around our town.
