The St Neots Business Awards winners set to be announced in less than two weeks!
The winners of each category have already been decided by the St Neots Town Mayor and his independent judging panel, based on over 100 nominations received, but names are firmly under wraps until announced during the ceremony itself later this month.
Over 150 people will be in attendance at the event at the Priory Centre in St Neots later this month, to celebrate the very first year of the St Neots Community & Business Awards.
The awards evening will be expertly hosted by Sue Dougan; the weekday afternoon programme presenter and producer at BBC Radio Cambridgeshire with nearly twenty years’ experience in the radio industry. As a broadcaster in the local area, Sue shows a genuine passion for community spirit and support for local business -and as a qualified running coach and enthusiastic amateur runner and triathlete, Sue has a keen interest in sport too.
Speaking about the judging process, St Neots Deputy Town Clerk Donna Cooke said: “We were absolutely delighted to see so many nominations in this first year of the awards programme; it is wonderful to be able to recognise local community and business achievements more widely in these awards. Judging each category was a real challenge, with such a high quality of entrants, but we are confident that we have selected some fantastic winners and look forward to congratulating them at our awards dinner at the end of the month.”
2015 St Neots Community & Business award winners will be officially announced w/c 27th April 2015 but live tweeting during the ceremony on Saturday 25th April will enable people to follow the proceedings in real time using the #stneotsawards hashtag on Twitter.
Event photography will be provided by photography partner i-d Image Development in St Neots.
The awards have been backed by a number of local businesses working in and around St Neots - Adlams Solicitors, Barretts department store, Beacon Wealth Management, Bosch Rexroth, bpha, Giggs and Co, Huntingdonshire Regional College, Lilac James, Realfit Conditioning and Education, The Best of St Neots and Vital Sign Designs.
This new civic awards programme, presented by St Neots Town Council, is also supported by a number of key community stakeholders - AboutMyAreaPE19, Eynesbury Village Association, Love’s Farm Community Association, The Eatons Community Association and Think Local Magazine.

I've lived in St Neots since I was 13, and boy how it's changed. I'm always looking to promote everything great in and around our town.
