Malabar Indian Restaurant is changing - it will be just like the Malabar you know and love, only better! General Manager Abu Baker and the team would like to thank their loyal customers for their support since 2002. From January 2013 the restaurant will be called Mela Lounge – just like the Malabar you know and love, only better! Mela Lounge will have exactly the same great team behind Malabar.
Abu will now be able to expand the menu to bring you even more great dishes, including new desserts from local suppliers. Abu says "As the manager of Malabar for the last ten years, I have made so many wonderful friends in Stafford. I am now taking this great opportunity to become the 100% owner of the business, as I am confident I can not only continue to provide the excellent experience we are known for, but also make it better!" Abu will also be opening a Mela Lounge in Harbourne, Birmingham.
