The one respondent who wouldn’t commented it was only because of not living locally – however Stafford Railway Building Society does welcome members from across the country as well as its local heartland.
Additionally, there was 98% satisfaction with information provided, which strongly indicates that all support material and literature matches the expectations and needs of the member base.
Society chief executive, Susan Whiting, says: “We’re absolutely thrilled that our valued members think we’re doing a great job both looking after them and their financial interests.
We achieved nearly 99% satisfaction levels in our last survey and I thought that would be a very hard act to follow, but to better that has been the aim of every member of staff since. “We do have a very loyal member base that appreciate our outstanding personal service coupled with consistently competitive mortgage and savings rates, but with the increasing consumer view of building societies being more transparent, we are currently enjoying an increase in new lending activity as well as more deposits from new savers – and it’s fantastic to be acknowledged by them too.
However, there is always room for improvement and we will strive to do even better. Knowing my team as I do, they pride themselves on friendly, helpful service that goes the extra mile, so I’m sure they’ll be aiming for 100% satisfaction levels next time round.”
