A crafty thief got away with around £500 worth of stuff from a shop

by dragging it through the doorway on his hands and knees!

Apparently the thief - believed to be a man - took two Yale alarm systems from the display area and left them by the automatic doors. He passed through the checkout, left the store and then went back and pulled them through the entrance on his hands and knees. CCTV images show the suspect, believed to have been with a woman, at around half past six on September 22 in Homebase, Ryhall Road, Stamford.

Police have released the CCTV footage, as they say the images are quite clear and they are sure that someone in the community will know who they are. They are asking that they come forward with the information bgy ringing 01780 752222 and quoting incident no. 250 of 23rd September
