Alexander Sims - a 21 year old former Stamford Schoolboy - won his maiden Formula 3 Euro Series victory at Germany's Nürburgring Circuit on Sunday with a positive drive.
Rookie driver Sims who lives in Wansford, was second on the grid, and gave a faultless performance in his Mücke Motorsport car.
Bagging the lead straight away, Sims was totally in control of the 27-lap race, and clocked up the fastest lap. He took the checkered flag 3.7 seconds ahead of Germany's Vietoris who took second place. Mika Maki from Finland took third place. With his seventh place in Saturday's race, Sims in now in seventh place with 24 points.
