Homer Simpson has turned up on a one euro coin in Spain instead of that of King Juan Carlos, sweetshop owner Jose Martinez says.
Whilst counting the cash in his till, he came across the euro coin with the features of Homer Simpson carved in, replacing the serious face of the king.
It appears that the carver has mad a pretty professional job of it. Jose Martinez has been made several offers for the coin, but says he wants to keep it. People are now wondering if the phantom carver has made alterations to any other coins, although so far no more Homer coins have turned up.
