Devices discovered at two banks
Police are appealing for witnesses after fraudsters attacked two cashpoints in our area.
Card skimming devices were discovered at two local cash machines on Monday morning - one at Barclays in Bourne and one at Natwest in Stamford. Customers at the banks alerted staff about the devices on Monday morning but before police could arrive the fraudsters had moved them leaving only the sticky adhesive pads.
Police don't yet know if customers' bank accounts have been raided as a result of the devices. CCTV footage will be examined but the public are asked to phone in suspicious sightings, and to be vigilant about cash machines - a popular way for thieves to obtain money.
Call Stamford Police Station on 01780 752222, quoting incident number 156 of July 20 if you have any information.
