Pet's Korner, Stamford's Tardis for Pets
Since 2000 Sandra and Tony Sharpe have been running Pet's Korner in Stamford Walk. Both worked in the retail trade before buying their own shop in 2000, and now they live in Stamford and work in the shop, employing their young son for the odd Saturday, and two other staff.
They've recently taken over a second unit for the shop, so that they can carry more stock - always mid-range and upwards to ensure top quality products.
Most of their clientele are dog owners, but the shop caters for all animals from the very small upwards. The shop stocks many natural products, and the cat and dog food has no artificial additives. Many of the dog products are tested on their own dog before they make it to the shop shelves. They realise that word gets around in Stamford, and they're jealous of their good reputation. Most of their customers have become friends along the way, and that's the way that Sandra and Tony would like it to stay.
In addition to the natural dog and cat foods, this tardis-like shop also offers herbal products for anxiety, skin problems and joint mobility, including liquid supplements that can be easily added to the pet's food with no addictive qualities. Alongside the health and beauty products for your faithful friends, there's a great selection of toys, leads and other animal products.
It's a great asset to Stamford to have a pet shop along the lines of Pet's Korner, where you know that you can get advice on the products you are buying, and that you are doing the very best you can for your pet.
