Brew up for Charity
Marie Curie Cancer Care are hoping that people around the Stamford area will support its 'Blooming Great Tea Parties' fund raiser this summer between June 12th to July 12th. Supporters are asked to hold a tea party between these dates, with all funds raised going towards their Cancer Care charity. The charity provides nursing care for terminally ill patients in their own homes, and funds raised in this way could provide thousands of hours of quality care.
In Lincolnshire alone last year, Marie Curie nurses gave 504 patients over 42,000 hours of home nursing care .
Judy Glossop, the community fundraising manager, says that everyone and anyone can take part , with tea parties wherever and whenever you want -at home, at work in office, staff room, works canteen or shop or at a cafe or hotel.
