Stamford Skatepark's Spongefest in Red Lion Square was a great success! Some very brave people were locked in the stocks, letting the public hurl big wet sponges at them. It was particularly popular with families - one mother took great delight in soaking her teenage son and two young children kept their Dad in the stocks for ages.
The Skatepark Committee sold lots of their fantastic new T shirts and so many people were happy just to give a donation to the project for a new concrete skatepark.
Combined with a home-made crazy golf course played on the Rec at the Fun Day, the Skatepark Committee raised over £1,000!!! A brilliant start to the campaign.
Thanks to everyone who supported us.
