Stamford Festival's here again

It's time for the annual Stamford Festival again, starting on Saturday June 27th, with the Stamford and District Kiwanis parade this year with a myths and legends theme .

There's a family fun day on the recreation ground on June 28th (organised by the Lions) with fairground rides, a hydrosphere, free face painting and children's entertainers Tommy and Tilley Turnip (sponsored by Vic Couzens). The hydrosphere lets walk across a giant pool of water in a ball, and it's expected to be a big draw for the crowds.Members of the Stamford and District Royal British Legion are supporting the event and will be promoting their work at a stall.

A week later comes the 9th annual Riverside Music Festival (Rock on the Meds) which caters for all musical tastes over three stages on the Meadows.
