Why Stratford upon Avon is great

Sometimes we take things for granted. This was brought home to us last week when some friends visited Stratford upon Avon for the day. The couple in question had never been to the town before but decided to stop off on the way up the M40. Unfortunately due to other commitments we were unable to meet them, however we did give them some pointers on where to go and what to do. The feedback we got was full of delight, not only did they spend the day in Stratford upon Avon, but they spent most of the evening there too! They found the town both charming in its layout and character, small enough to walk around without having to rely on public transport, but also full of every kind of amenity you would expect from a much larger town. They also commented on the cheerfulness and helpfulness of the locals and the pride people obviously take in their town. So a big thank you to all of you who not only did yourself proud but also promoted Stratford upon Avon so well and showed why it is so great.
