a bit out of the way but well worth finding if you want a great coffee and good produce you will always be made very welcome here by the owner David. His bistro next door is also superb if you want something a bit more substantial.

The cheeses which David personally travels to France to purchase are without doubt the finest anywhere in Suffolk! Now that I live in Thailand, I am suffering from withdrawal symptoms. Mind you there are other compensations and some wonderful food. BUT Alas no CHEESE!

Had a very good sandwich and coffee at Davids Deli. Welcoming and friendly staff and they certainly know their products (especially cheese). A nice place.

I always review as I find when I visit anywhere and do not read previous reviews.
We, two couples of some vintage, stumbled on this gem of a lovely small establishment. It looks like a cafe but its more than that.
It is a cafe, deli and wine bar which "does what it says on the tin." It is intimately small and but comfy to be in.
The owner is a pleasure to talk to and really does care about the people whom choose to use his establishment. We had tea and cakes....and WHAT CAKES, DELICIOUS.
The chef packed us up two packs of Suffolk Sausages, which we bought to take away to cook for tea later. If we had not decided that I should return to the car park and bring the car round to pick the others up from across the road form here, we would never have visited this gem of a place, to which we will make a point of retuning to if we visit Sudbury again.

This little deli / coffee shop was a wonderful surprise. The food on offer, including that not on the menu but sold on the shelves, is of high quality. Sometimes places of quality are quite pretentious, but David's Deli had a comfortable atmosphere where you can kick back, enjoy your drink and read the paper.
I had a Ploughman's which was a very generous portion for £4.99. Homemade chutney is always a winner! The owner (David I assume) was quirky and attentive. David had brought a fresh apple cake from France the day before, which was tempting! Personally, I don't drink coffee, but my parents were raving about it.
The Bistro next door looked very nice - we've made a mental note to eat there next time we're in Sudbury.

Look no further if you want a perfect coffee in a relaxed atmosphere. The best in town and where you always receive a warm welcome. An added bonus is access to a well stocked deli. Bliss.

If you want a coffee and a sandwich rather than a fully cooked lunch, this is the place to go. Deli/cafe owned and run by David Thompson, and next door to his wonderful Bistro. I don't know how he does it, but somehow David, ably helped by the almost impossibly polite and delightful Kayleigh, manages to create an atmosphere that makes it such a pleasant place to sit, eat and pass the time. Proper coffee, not the insipid or bitter stuff so often served up, and the Suffolk ham sandwiches are just perfect. Plus a superb selection of top quality items and cheese's available from the deli counter to take home and enjoy. It has become my regular coffee haunt.
