The Woolverstone Macmillan Centre, due to open in 2016, will bring together outpatient chemotherapy, oncology and haematology day services. Planned new chemotherapy suites will be able to treat 30 people at a time, a significant improvement on the current capacity of 12. The centre will be able to treat nearly 21,000 people each year, more than double the current number.
We will be holding an event for local companies, groups and individuals to find out more about how you can get involved on 26th February so please do let me know if you are interested in coming along and I can forward you more details.
You’ll also see that the Macmillan Woolverstone Wish Fundraising Group are also planning a whole series of events throughout 2015 starting with a cake sale in January, clothes swap in February and Ladies Night in March. Please do support these events and spread the word on twitter and facebook too if you can.
