Can you help Compassion Domestic Abuse Charity

Compassion is a local Sudbury charity making a real difference to victims of domestic abuse. The charity runs recovery programmes for people of all ages and genders, helping them rebuild their lives. This year, Compassion has seen a big increase in referrals, which means they need to offer even more programmes and services to meet demand.

In addition to their recovery programmes, Compassion also hosts a weekly drop-in coffee morning for women and is working on offering more support for men. They also run a free law clinic, thanks to Birketts LLP, who are also supporting Compassion

Compassion is inviting local businesses to get involved by taking a table at the event or offering sponsorship. The charity’s volunteers work hard to help victims, and they are hoping to sponsor tickets so that volunteers can attend the Ball.

Sponsoring a table or ticket is a great way for local businesses to show their support for a cause that has a real impact on the Sudbury community.

With the introduction of the 2021 Duty of Care Act, larger companies now have a legal responsibility to safeguard their employees. Compassion offers Domestic Abuse Awareness talks for workplaces, which can help companies meet this duty.

If you’d like to support Compassion by attending or sponsoring the Ball, or if you’d like more information on the awareness talks, please get in touch with the charity. Your support will help them continue their vital work in our community.

Hello! I'm Penny from thebestof Sudbury, shouting about the best local businesses from Hadleigh through the Clare. When I'm not doing that, you'll find me knitting socks or tending to my 6 chickens
