This was the first awards of its kind that Sudbury has entered and five of thebestof Sudbury members qualified; Suffolk Market Events, The Boxford White Hart, Shear Genius, PolySpiral Graphic Design and Wardale Williams.
Not only is thebestof Sudbury still a new business within thebestof family, it's also one of the smallest areas in the network, however, that didn't stop us doing incredibly well against much larger towns and cities.
Suffolk Market Events, the company that run the farmers markets in Sudbury, Nayland and Lavenham, not only won a place in the top 100 businesses in the UK, but also won the category the best market and Community events and the top business in the area
The Boxford White Hart, a pub in centre of the village, came second in both the area and the category of the best pub and bar in the country
Wardale Williams also won the best optician in the country.
I am incredibly proud of Sudbury and the local independent businesses that entered the competition. We maybe a small town, but indeed we are a mighty one!
