The Great Gusto Plate Challenge asked young diners at local pubs The One Bull, The Cadogan or The Crown to use their imagination and some crayons to come up with an imaginative design for a plate template.
The competition ran throughout the summer holidays and the winners announced this week were Lila Wyatt (age 5) & Willow Querelle (age 10) at The One Bull, Alfie Aldis (age 5) & Willow Grimmer (age 6) at The Cadogan and Lilly Smith (age 4) & Sam Rimmer (age 6) at The Crown.
Each child won a £50 voucher to treat their family to a meal at one of the pubs and their pictures will be on display in the pubs shortly. The competition was the brainchild of Daisy (age 8), daughter of Gusto Pronto’s owners David & Roxane Marjoram and was featured in the Morning Advertiser in August.
The pubs tweeted their best entries each week during August using #TheGreatGustoPlateChallenge. Roxane Marjoram said ‘We all had a lot of fun during this competition. It was great to see the entries coming in each week and there are certainly some talented young artists out there.’
