Wayman and Long, solicitors in Clare and Sudburym are delighted to welcome Barrister Nigel  Gowling, Barrister at Law to the business, based in Clare and Sudbury.  His arrival compliments their growing team of specialists.

Over the last 18 months, Wayman & Long have introduced Paul Povey, specialising in Personal Injury and Jennifer Denham a specialist in family law and divorce.

Mr Gowling is a dual registered Barrister and is frequently instructed on matters relating to property, boundary disputes, agriculture and common law.  This allows the firm’s clients to keep legal costs to a minimum as Nigel is able to work on their cases from the outset, cutting out unnecessary meetings and correspondences between Chambers and the solicitor.  Having a Barrister involved at the start, cuts out unnecessary work, time and costs and enable a more expeditious resolution.

Nigel is working at Wayman and Long as a consultant, he has over 18 years legal experience.  He has undertaken many cases in the High Court and County Court.  Cases include; boundary disputes, commercial leases, Landlord and Tenant cases and general contractual matters.

This is a very exciting development and integral to growing the legal team at Wayman and Long.  They are the only legal firm in the region that has a barrister to work with clients on their cases.

Along with other senior members of the legal team, Nigel will be helping to inspire the next generation of legal eagles, as part of their sponsorship of the Thomas Gainsborough School Sixth Form Law Suite. In 2015, Wayman & Long sponsored the first Law Suite at the school, this being the first of its kind in the country. It gives the students engaging work experience and understanding to what a career in law can offer.
