In Edinburgh, between 1827 and 1828, science and murder become intertwined in a macabre dance of death. Sixteen lives are brutally taken by Burke and Hare, while the shadow of evil prowls the streets of 'Auld Reekie.' At the heart of this chilling tale is Dr Robert Knox – scientist, doctor, and esteemed anatomist – who waits in Surgeons Square, eager to procure bodies to further medical knowledge.
A knock at the door, a body delivered, money exchanged – no questions asked. From the West Port slums to Dr Knox’s dissection table, a trail of terror unfolds. But murder cannot remain hidden forever, and a price must be paid, even by the anatomist supreme. For Dr Knox, that price is inevitable.
Dumfries and Galloway Life Magazine described the play as:
"A thought-provoking performance… brilliantly acted… Bravo Isosceles! A superb show, highly recommended."
From the same acclaimed company that brought The Man Who Left the Titanic to the Quay in 2024, this production promises an unforgettable evening.
