Went here on Friday for my works Christmas party.
Myself like many others had never heard of The Crown nor the village itself before.The pub had really nice decor and you can tell it was looked after.
The Christmas menu was an interesting selection, but the food itself was really good. The portioning was the right amount, the waiting staff were fun to joke and banter with.Would come again

A fantastic little village pub,hidden out of the way.greeted by large open fire and big oak tables giving a lovely warm country feel.the bar gives a good choice of beers,wines and spirits. Great service fantastic food if a little pricey,but quality costs.! Well worth a visit.!

We visited The Crown last night and were incredibly happy with our meal and the service we received. the pub/restaurant seemed busy and popular, and when we started our meal we completely understood why! The waitresses were excellent and very helpful, the food was delicious, the surroundings and decor are very stylish, the menu had lots of lovely choices, there was a roaring firein our dining area (nice touch!). I can highly recommend the Christmas Scotch Egg for starters, although I can't imagine it'll be on the menu for much longer! Hopefully they'll bring it back next year though! Definitely worth a trip out to this village!

Mothers Day lunch, so could have been rushed and formulaic. BUT... Service considered, well timed and appropriate. Food innovative and cooked superbly. Dreamy smoked salmon marinated in Hendricks with cucumber jelly and lemon oil. Chicken breast and a balloting. Both tender, moist and with good sauce. Veg worth noting as they were perfectly cooked. Cabbage consisted of 3 different types with baby broccoli .

I took my mum here for Mother's Day and we had a wonderful time...
Table was ready on arrival had plenty of space and not at all cramped .. Fabulous service very attentive a young chap who served us mostly was soPolite and helpful with any questions we had.. Food was beautiful and I love my food you can tell that it's fresh.. We was their nearly 3 hours didn't feel rushed even though It was Mother's Day and they was

We went here because we had previously been to the Cadogan at Ingham. The food here at the Crown was extremely good, plenty of beef and nice vegs. Coffee good too (important to me). Service friendly and overall good value. I'd certainly go again.

Went there as a party of 11 on Mother's Day 2015 and had an excellent lunch, good value and attentive service. The veg with the roasts was cooked in a unique and tasty way, well done chef! There were good beers and a good quality and spacious play area for the three children with us. There is plenty of outdoor seating too that overlooks the play area so we shall definitely return when the weather is better!

Went to the Crown and the food / service was very good. Have been several times this year for Lunch and Dinner.
Good touch to have free water with meal and the hot bread is just to died for.

First time we've been here since the new owners took over, always been fans of the Cadagon.
Nice nibbles of fresh bread and also some lovely whitebait
I had the sirloin of beef which was excellent, roast potatoes were amazing, vegetables very good and onion rings superb
