Have been using Wardale Williams Opticians for a number of years and can honestly say I have always found them very professional, they are not the cheapest but one gets that which you pay for. I did only once try a different very large High Street Optician but soon realised my mistake. Would recommend this company.

Fabulous service, from the friendly welcome by reception staff to the eye examination by Joanna and advice on frames by Emma. Emma really took time and care to ensure I had the frames I liked and that would best suit me. Much more personal service than at chain opticians.

From Holly who did my test and found that I had a condition I did not know about, to Kirsty who helped me select my frames and tinted lenses, to Vickie who undertook the final fitting, I received a friendly and thoroughly professional service that I recommend to anybody. Relaxed vibe, great choices on the menu, delicious wines.
We went with another couple and even though it was pouring we sat outside in one of their covered booths while we waited for our table and enjoyed a bottle...Nice to be outside!
As I said the food is really good. Two courses was plenty for us. I had fish, the others had various meats. There was a veggie option (which I nearly went for).
Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

I have used Wardale & Williams as my Opticians for 50 years, I have always found the staff to be outstanding and professional, if I had to give a special mention it would be to Lesley the Sudbury branch receptionist who over many years has always been pleasant and helpful, I would not hesitate to recommend Wardales to anyone seeking an Opticians.

The best Sunday roast in a decade - by far. Super friendly and helpful staff, great wine list and 'to die for' pineapple upside down cake. All in a beautiful setting - AND clean and comfortable toilets (there's always a downside and that's usually it, but not here!)
We're already planning our return visit; one of my party is all the way from Colchester and has resolved to bring her friends - it's that good!

We haven't been here for years but it was a nice day and we wanted to go somewhere with a nice garden and good food. It turns out Friday is pizza day, not much makes me happier than a nice pub garden with a garden bar and a proper pizza hut with a wood fired oven. Others in the party had fish and chips and a lamb flatbread starter, both really good. Nice pint of brewshed pale ale, absolutely lovely lunchtime had. It would have been nice to have some tables with proper chairs as my wife struggles with picnic bench seats and it would be nice if the staff could take repeat drink orders from the table outside, but none of this spoilt the day.

Popped in for lunch after trying to find something better than normal tea shop fare in Sudbury and we definitely found it here, a menu full of French based snack lunches or specials that were main dishes, all well presented and tasty using very good products and home made. Great tea and coffee with a short French wine list, they have evening meals Fridays and Saturdays but we understand you must book!
