Golf enthusiasts and corporate supporters are being invited to take part in the Cancer Support Centre's charity golf day, returning this summer to Walmley Golf Club.

The centre is hosting a day of golf, networking and fundraising on Friday 11th July.

Teams of four can secure their place for £400 per team, which includes a day of competitive golf, breakfast rolls with tea and coffee on arrival, and a two-course evening meal to round off the event.

The day will commence with a shotgun start at 12pm, with all teams tee off simultaneously from different holes.

The event plays a crucial role in supporting the Cancer Support Centre in Sutton Coldfield, which provides vital services to individuals and families affected by cancer.

Businesses have the opportunity to enhance their brand visibility while supporting a fantastic cause through hole sponsorship packages.

A number of sponsors have already pledged their support, with Rotospa, Find and Finance, and CASS Accounting securing sponsorship for the signature first, ninth and 18th holes.

Fundraising consultant Brian Davies said: “Last year’s inaugural event was a huge success despite some challenging weather conditions, and we’re thrilled to be bringing it back for an even bigger and better day in July.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity for businesses and golf lovers alike to come together, enjoy a day on the course, and most importantly, raise essential funds for the Cancer Support Centre.

“We’re looking forward to a bigger and drier event this year, and we encourage local companies to get involved, whether by entering a team or sponsoring a hole.”

The previous tournament was fiercely contested, with the Chamber team, featuring head of new business Russ Ashman and Burton Chamber president Richard Wileman, claiming second place.
