Sutton Coldfield’s Food Festival is set to return to the Royal Town for two weekends of feasting, Sutton Coldfield Business Improvement District has announced.
Following the overwhelming success of the inaugural event last summer, the two-day festival will bring Sutton Coldfield to life with flavour this summer and autumn, with over 70 pop-up restaurants, street food vendors, local producers and breweries gracing the Parade at each event.
Taking place on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th June and Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th October, hungry visitors can expect a host of culinary delights from some of Sutton Coldfield’s finest venues as well as foodie favourites from across the region.
There will also be a packed calendar of activities, cookery demonstrations and workshops across each weekend, including an appearance from the Great British Break Off’s Julie Chernogorova and Karen Wright.
Delivered and funded by Sutton Coldfield BID in partnership with Cocker Hoop Creative, organisers hope the festivals will bring an even greater variety of experiential community events to the town, joining the likes of Month of Music, Sutton Has Musical Talent, Expo, and a host of regular markets.
Mike Bushell, Sutton Coldfield Town Centre BID Manager, said: “We are delighted to announce the return of the Sutton Coldfield Food Festival, as well as the exciting addition of an autumn Food Festival later this year. Last summer’s event saw an incredible turnout from the local community, proving there is a massive appetite for this type of events in the area.
“Sutton Coldfield is home to a wide range of independent eateries, pubs and well-loved restaurants, and the Food Festival provides the perfect opportunity for residents and visitors alike to discover everything that the town centre has to offer,” he added.
The Sutton Coldfield Food Festival will be open from 9am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
