Community Games mascot Buddy was the latest participant in PLOTT Creative’s pool challenge, which has been running over the past month.

Members of the business community have been dropping by at the creative agency’s office to take on the challenge in support of the Sutton Coldfield Chamber’s honorary chair and former president Katie Hale, whose husband Terry was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease last year.

Participants must pot all the balls on the table in the fastest possible time – making a minimum donation of £10 in the process.

The Community Games is all about inspiring people to try new activities and encourage healthy, active lifestyles.

That's why Buddy was keen to try his hand at pool.

PLOTT managing director Anna Plotnek said: “Buddy is a local legend. It was a true pleasure to welcome him and the full team into the studio.

“Buddy may not have broken any records but he was a great sport.”

Community Games founder Dennis Kennedy, a recipient of the Sutton Chamber President’s Award earlier this year, has personal experience of MDNA.

He said: “Having experienced MDNA in my family, I know how vital it is to support people and carers living with this cruel disease.

“We loved taking part in the challenge, what a great idea to help raise money!”

There have been a number of participants in the pool challenge so far, including Chamber president Phil Arkinstall, David Hemming from Burley Browne, photographer Kate Hollingsworth and Chamber staff Chris Brewerton and Dan Harrison.
