Thousands of walkers and runners from across Birmingham will come together in Royal Sutton Coldfield town centre to take part in the event on 2 June.

As a supporting sponsor, representatives of Good Hope Hospital Charity will be along the route to cheer everybody on. To date, 45 people have joined the Good Hope Team, with more expected to sign up to raise money to support patients and their families at Good Hope Hospital.

Mike Hammond, CEO, Good Hope Hospital Charity, said: “I am thrilled to announce our sponsorship of the Royal Sutton Fun Run this year. While not a race, this fantastic event brings runners and walkers of all abilities out in force to have fun and fundraise for voluntary organisations, community groups, and charities like ours.

“As a local charity, our main goal is to support and provide added extras for patients, their families, and staff during treatment at Good Hope Hospital. The Royal Sutton Fun Run is entering its 41st year and is a flagship event for the area, supporting the event means we can also support the local community in and around Sutton Coldfield.”

Tracey Spare, Fun Run event director, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Good Hope Hospital Charity as a supporting sponsor for 2024.

"The charity does so much for the local community, so it will be great to see as many people as possible wearing Good Gope Hospital Charity T-Shirts, raising money for this vital cause. Having members of the charity along the route will help to create a fantastic atmosphere across our town.

“Over the past 41 years, the Royal Sutton Fun Run has distributed over £5.1 million to charities with thousands of participants taking part every year. Without local support from organisations like Good Hope Hospital Charity, this wouldn’t be possible, so thank you.”

Registration for this year’s Fun Run can be completed via the link on the Fun Run website and will close when all 5500 places have been booked or Monday 15  April – whichever event occurs first.
