Boldmere Falcons Football Club in Sutton Coldfield makes football available to both boys and girls up to the age of 18. UKSE is sponsoring the club’s Under 14s football kit.
Boldmere Falcons vice chairman Steve Gascoyne commented: “We are very grateful to UKSE for sponsoring our Under 14s team.
“Funding from local businesses and organisations goes a long way towards keeping the club running so that children can participate in sport and keep fit and active.
“Our 50th anniversary is a great landmark for the club that we are looking forward to celebrating.”
Having been formed in 1974, Boldmere Falcons will be celebrating its 50th anniversary this spring. The club will be holding a festival fun weekend on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th May involving football matches, food stalls, games and evening entertainment.
UKSE offers strategic loan and equity packages of up to £1m to generate growth, create local job opportunities and bolster the economy.
UKSE’s West Midlands team, based in Cannock, is engaging with firms across Birmingham, the Black Country, Coventry, Staffordshire and Telford wanting to grow, innovate and bring employment opportunities to the region.
UKSE regional executive Mike Lowe said: “We are really pleased to be sponsoring Boldmere Falcons in their 50th year.
“Supporting the local community is part of UKSE’s commitment to making a difference across all the regions it supports, and Boldmere Falcons FC has been an integral part of Sutton Coldfield’s community for a very long time.”
Since 1975 UKSE has invested more than £110m, supporting 7,650 businesses and stimulating the creation of an estimated 82,000 new jobs.
Tata Steel subsidiary UKSE has given more than £10 million to community projects nationally, including initiatives to get people back into work, develop young people’s skills and fight drug and alcohol problems. UKSE staff get involved in local projects, visiting schools and universities or working in partnership with development and enterprise agencies to make an impact in local communities.
