Sales of the Lockdown Legends charity colouring-in book have now topped £20,000.

Appearances on ITV and BBC as part of Mental Health Awareness Week led to a surge in sales.

Over that weekend, an incredible 1,400 books were sold, with some customers buying multiple books per order.

It kept co-creators PLOTT Creative busy handling the logistics, with a dedicated Royal Mail van required to collect them.

Anna Plotnek (pictured), managing director of PLOTT, said: “We’ve already more than doubled the £10k target we set ourselves.

“It’s a truly fantastic project to be a part of – we’re so proud to have raised such a large amount of money for the NHS. It makes all the hard work worth it!”

Illustrator Sabina Gran added: “From nursery schools to hospices, and everything in-between, the book has bought so much joy to so many people during these anxious times. The positive feedback we have received is almost overwhelming.”

Every penny raised from the sale of the Lockdown Legends colouring-in book will go to University Hospitals Birmingham Charity’s NHS ‘Superheroes Fund’, which provides support for frontline workers at the Queen Elizabeth, Heartlands, Solihull and Good Hope hospitals.

The book is available to buy at: https://plott.lockdownlegends.co.uk/ and https://www.hospitalcharity.org/ for £10 plus £2.95 postage.
