Mere Green Primary School has been recognised as an Apple Regional Training Centre for 2019-20.
Being selected as a West Midlands Apple Regional Training Centre highlights its commitment to facilitating training for teachers to develop skills and build confidence to use Apple technology in the classroom.
Terri Coombs, Apple Distinguished Educator, IT lead for Mere Green Primary School and ATLP specialist leader of education (SLE) for computing, IT & Online Safety, said: “We are delighted and proud to be named as an Apple Regional Training Centre. Mere Green Primary School and the Arthur Terry Learning Partnership are committed to delivering outstanding education to children and high quality training to educators and we are looking forward to offering and sharing best practice across the region.”
Apple Regional Training Centres create a community to share best practice and facilitate teaching staff to attain Apple Teacher status, a professional learning programme designed to support and celebrate educators.
Teachers from across the West Midlands can attend courses to build knowledge and skills and earn badges to achieve Apple Teacher recognition.
Customised courses offered this year through the centre will also include Fostering Creativity, Using iPad, Enhancing Productivity with iPad, Coding with Swift Playgrounds.
