Students and staff at secondary schools across the respected Arthur Terry Learning Partnership (ATLP) are celebrating impressive A Level and BTEC results.

The respected multi-academy trust, which is based in Birmingham and also runs schools in North Warwickshire and Staffordshire, had positive results across its sixth form centres.

Arthur Terry School had 31 students gaining at least 2 A*-A grades from 3 A levels and 57 students gaining at least 1 A*-A grade.

A third of students at the Coleshill School gained A*-B across all subjects, with 97 per cent of students achieving A*-E.

In vocational subjects, 71 per cent of students got the top grades of a Distinction * or a Distinction with 96 per cent gaining a Merit or above and a 100% pass rate. This comes at the end of a year when Ofsted confirmed the school as ‘good’ in March.

John Willmott School continued to build on last year’s success with more students than ever achieving the highest grades possible.

An amazing 21 per cent of results were at grades A* and A, 50% of results at grades A*-B and 73 per cent of results at grades A*-C.

Nether Stowe School has seen a significant increase in the percentage of entries graded at A and A*, up to 15 per cent, while almost 50 per cent of all grades are A*, A or B, representing great attainment and great progress for pupils and an in-school increase from last year.

Neil Warner, director of education (secondary) for the ATLP, said: "While this year is truly unprecedented in our education system, one overriding feature remains. These results represent the culmination of great dedication, hard work and perseverance from our young people.

"Results are not just the end product of a two or three hour examination, they represent years of preparedness and we congratulate every single one of our students."
