Sutton Coldfield based Bhaijaans restaurant will deliver free meals to front-line doctors, nurses and staff at Good Hope Hospital this week.

 

The Birmingham Road restaurant that serves up award-winning Indian street food dishes and curries, will deliver free food to the Intensive Care and A&E departments at Sutton’s local hospital on Wednesday 6th May.

 

Bhaijaans restaurant reopens to the public for takeaway and deliveries from Wednesday 6th May and will continue to support the NHS by offering a 50% discount to staff when they order a takeaway.

 

Mushfiqur Rahman, Bhaijaans Chef and Owner said: “Everyday life has changed dramatically due to C-19. Events and activities have been cancelled, some people may be working from home, whilst others try to feel as normal as possible.

 

“Whilst life might have changed, the role of our NHS heroes hasn’t, they are working tirelessly to keep our lives safe while they are risking theirs, and we want to do our part for them” he added.

 

Dr Sandur Naresh from Good Hope Hospital said: “Our staff have been working tirelessly with the hospital functioning at twice its normal capacity to help with C-19 cases. The team are all incredibly humbled by this kind gesture. It will really help to lift the morale of staff working.”
