Sutton Coldfield Town Centre BID is offering local businesses free Jubilee bunting, available to collect on Thursday 26th and Friday 27th May 9am-5pm from Sutton Coldfield United Reformed Church (town centre), to take part in a competition to celebrate the extended Jubilee weekend.
Businesses across Sutton Coldfield Town Centre are invited to ‘bring out the bunting’ and decorate their shop fronts or office interiors to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee when Her Majesty The Queen will become the first British Monarch to celebrate 70 years of service.
The best decorated business will be awarded a fantastic prize package including advertising space on a town centre billboard, a feature in the Sutton Chronicle newspaper, a celebratory plaque plus £100 in town centre vouchers.
Entrants should send a photo of their Jubilee decorations to info@suttoncoldfieldtowncentre.co.uk before June 5th with the name and address of their business.
Michelle Baker, Sutton Coldfield Town Centre BID Manager commented:
“We can’t wait to give out the FREE bunting on the 26th and 27th May and hear businesses plans to decorate their premises for our ‘bring out the bunting’ Jubilee competition. We’re inviting all businesses to get involved – shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs, salons, offices – if the organisation is in the town centre we’d love you to come and collect your free bunting and send photos of your displays.
“It’s time to begin investing in Sutton Coldfield town centre, not only by working in collaboration with Sutton Coldfield Town Council and Birmingham City Council in delivering the proposed Masterplan but also with local initiatives such as this to make the town more vibrant. We are asking Sutton residents and businesses to invest their belief, confidence and custom back into our Royal town. Everyone can make a change in how the town is represented to visitors as well as potential business investors.”
As a result of the ‘Yes’ vote, the Sutton Coldfield Town Centre BID has this year commenced its third 5-year term, with a focus on ‘investing in Sutton’, working to deliver the Masterplan and raising the profile of the town centre through year round events and exciting new initiatives.
