The event was also attended by Paul Cawthorne from the Sutton Chamber of Commerce, as well as more than 70 local residents and businesses.
The new self storage facility is opening on Oldfields Road in Cheam, on the former site of the famous Pobjoy Mint, and will feature a wide range of storage unit sizes – from 16 to 500 square feet. The units will be housed over five floors, which customers will have 24/7 access to.
Gabriel Kroukamp, Access Self Storage Cheam store manager, said: “We’re excited about bringing the best storage facilities yet to Cheam and to celebrate, we invited local businesses and residents to enjoy a glass of wine and some tapas see our impressive new 74,000 square foot premises. We were thrilled to meet representatives from places such as the Riverside Community Centre, Surrey Inks, Nat West, Metro Bank and Ikea.
“As well as being the perfect networking opportunity, we wanted to talk to Cheam residents and businesses face-to-face and understand their requirements.”
Along with storage units, the Cheam store will offer business services such as mailboxes and telephone answering services. The Cheam store will also be offering an exclusive service: hot-desking, with unlimited Wi-Fi, printing services and desk space.
The MP for Sutton and Cheam, Paul Scully, spoke at the opening, promoting the thriving business culture, so important for local businesses and start-ups.
Access Self Storage Cheam can be found on 92 Oldfields Road, SM1 2NU. The store reception is open from 8.30 to 18.00 Monday to Friday, 08.00-17.00 on Saturdays and from 10.00 until 16.00 on Sundays.
