A set of weather conditions conspired to produce a water spout off Swansea.
This is a rare occurence in the coastal waters off Swansea.
The dramatic phenomenon was spotted by several people who did think that they were viewing a tornado.
Actually it was a water spout.
Whilst it looks like water is being sucked up from the surface of the sea what really happens is that a cloud forms a funnel which touches the surface of the sea.
That doesn't sound quite so dramatic but nevertheless something like this off the Gower coast is still impressive!
