Scientists from Swansea University are part of a major new initiative to beat phone hackers.
The computer sciences department have been awarded part of a £3 million grant to progress the fight against smartphone crime.
As phones get more sophisticated as do the criminals who devise ways of finding out our personal and bank details and then using them to commit fraud.
The research that the Uni are undertaking is into the malware viruses that are unleashed on our computers and phones everyday.
Hopefully the team will come up with solutions that will make our phones safer to use in the future.
Or we could of course just use them for talking to people...
