Plans have been announced to create an environmentally sound solution to heating and energy production within the city.
The plan will link a biomass boiler at the LC with civic buildings.
These are likely to include the Waterfront Museum,Swansea Museum, the Civic Centre and library and the LC.
The scheme will see hot water or steam circulate these buildings providing a much more efficient system of heating and reducing the Carbon footprint the city currently generates.
If successful the scheme could be extended to include other areas of the city.
The ambitious plans outline the possibility of not for profit energy generation that could ease crippling heating bills for hard pressed residents!
Great idea hope it happens soon!
