Swansea historical records related to the iron works at Neath Abbey have been added to the World Memory programme.
UNESCO - the world cultural and educational organisation have included technical documents from the Ironworks.
These are historically significant as this was where the first Welsh stea engine was built and the engines for the Glamorgan - a steam powered boat were commissioned.
The documents with others chart the rise of the iron smelting and engineering business that grew up locally and became world renowned for excellence and innovation.
Yet more recognition for Swansea's historical past.
