Swansea's tropical plant house is under threat from council cuts.
Plantasia the tropical plant house situated in Parc Tawe is looking likely as a candidate for closure under council budget cuts.
The plant house situated on the retail park at the entrance to Swansea does not attract big visitor numbers and is in need of a substantial maintenance spend.
Arguably the attraction was situated in the wrong part of town to be attractive to visitors to the city and this has been a contributor to it's likely demise.
The council continues to look at a seties of other measures to balance the budget in 2015.
