Very large jellyfish have been washed up on Swansea Gower beaches.
These jellyfish which are apparently classed as plankton and are the favourite food of turtles can grow to a metre in length.
They get washed up on our beaches if the tide is particularly strong or there is a change in wind direction.
Most are harmless although it is wise to give them a wide berth as some will cause a painful sting if touched.
