A state of the art machine for recycling has fallen foul of Swansea planning laws.
It turns out that the department with responsibility for waste recycling did not think that it needed planning permission for a new piece of recycling kit.
Unfortunately the Swansea planners felt otherwise.
They deemed that the £60k structure was too large even though it was regarded as temporary and said that it needed to go through the planning process.
The machinery used to sort residents rubbish will not be used at the Clyne recycling facility until the permissionsare granted.
So there you go - even the Council don't always understand the planning process!
