Swansea shock - a solar farm has been proposed for Gower.
A community based project that will if accepted see 4000 panels set up in fields on Gower.
The area will be approximately 15 acres and situated near Ilston.
The scheme could produce sufficient power for 300 homes if built.
As you can imagine given the area's status - an area of outstanding natural beauty there have been objections.
However the project does promise to be clean and relatively unobtrusive.
Livestock will be able to graze around the panels.
The dilemna is that if we want less pollution and more green energy then projects such as this must be allowed to go ahead.
