Swansea City Council are looking at off loading surplus property to ease the burden on ratepayers.
The council which is looking at having to make savings of £80 million over the next three years is to find takers for various bits of council owned property.
The recently rebuilt Swiss Cottage which suffered fire damage is one of the items for sale.
A lease will be granted for the listed building which will probably make a decent refreshment outlet.
Other premises will include some council administered buildings including the lifeguard station at Bracelet Bay.
As long as there is not an element of selling the family silver this is probably a good idea especially with the council retaining a say in how these premisies are managed in the future.
