Figures show that Swansea residents are recycling more and more waste.
Since the council introduced controversial plans to limit the number of bags households could put out and also reduced collections to fortnightly over 3500 tons less waste has been put in landfill sites.
This is great news but we can't let up as the Welsh government has set local authorities a target of recycling 58% of waste collections.
Swansea is currently at 56% but this is a huge improvement over the last year.
Really well done as this helps the environment and also shows that Swansea people can rise to any challenge!
