If the tidal lagoon is built Swansea residents could be in line for subsidised electricity.
As part of the developers planning application they have said that they will subsidise local electricity bills for private residents to the tune of £500000,
tHe proposal is being considered by local authority planners at the moment .
If the scheme gets the green light the plan is to start construction as early as 2015.
the project will include visitor facilities as when completed this will undoubtedly be a major attraction bringing visitors to Swansea from afar.
When fully fonctional the Lagoon will provide electricity for the equivalent of over 150000 homes.
An exciting project that needs the green light!
