Figures revealed today show that the proposed Tidal Lagoon will have massive economic benefits for Swansea.
If it goes ahead the anticipated spend will be £300 million.
During the construction and development phase it will create 1800 jobs.
After there will be 60 jobs directly linked to the lagoon. Additionally there will be a further 90 jobs involved in the servicing of the undoubted tourist attraction of the unique engineering project.
The lagoon will generate enough electicity to power over 120000 homes and will hold 4 square miles of water.
This is the sort of thing we want - jobs,power,and tourism.
