Swansea residents get a pat on the back for recycling efforts.
Figures just out show that Swansea people are now recycling more than ever.
They are now recycling 53% of houshold waste.
This compares to 48% previously.
This figure includes an incredible 850 tonnes of food waste each month.
The council who are proud of the progress that has been made attribute a large part of the success to it's three bag rule - a limit for all households to adhere to.
Their next project is to spread the word with the huge student influx that will be coming to Swansea next month.
Good luck and great news!
