The daughter of a Swansea miner who became a member of Swedish royalty is remembered in a touching way.
Lilian May Davies after leaving Swansea met the Prince of Sweden in 1943 in London.
Whilst their relationship blossomed they could not marry without incurring the displeasure of the Swedish court.
Therefore they maintained a discreet relationship until the 70's when attitudes liberalised.
Lillian died last year after becoming a firm favourite with the Swedish people.
Her great niece was born this year and has been named Lilian by her proud parents in her honour.
Wonder if she will support Wales......?
